Kenya Airways one of the leading airline companies in Africa, is set to receive the first of three Boeing 777 – 300ER aircrafs this october. The Boeing 777 is a long-range twin-engine jet airliner manufactured by Boeing. It is also the world’s largest twinjet and has a typical seating capacity for 314 to 451 passengers, with a range of 5,235 to 9,380 nautical miles (9,695 to 17,370 km)
Commonly referred to as the “Triple Seven”, its distinguishing features include the largest-diameter turbofan engines of any aircraft, six wheels on each main landing gear, a circular fuselage cross-section and a blade-shaped tail cone. The 777 ranks as one of Boeing’s best-selling models and is the backbone of airlines such as Emirates.
Passengers will enjoy high quality in-flight entertainment; each seat will come with a 15.4 inch touch screen monitor, power socket and USB port, and an in-flight entertainment handset. The new Boeing 777-300ER will commence direct flights from Nairobi to Guangzhou from November this year.
