This 12 days Uganda Safari takes you to the best safari parks in Uganda; Lake Mburo, Bwindi Impenetrable national park, Queen Elizabeth national park, Kibale Primates forest, Murchison Falls national park. This Uganda safari starts with a game viewing safari in Lake Mburo National Park and later takes you to Bwindi Gorilla Forest for a gorilla safari, Queen Elizabeth National for a wildlife safari, Kibale Forest for a chimpanzee trek and Murchison Falls National Park for a game viewing safari. This safari ends with a tour to the adventure capital of Uganda and a tour of the Kampala Heritage sites. Safari activities include gorilla tracking, game drives, chimp tracking, bird watching, and game viewing.

Day 1: Entebbe – Accommodation

On arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be met and received by your driver guide from Ababa Uganda safaris who will then brief you as he transfers you to your hotel for overnight the Hotel can either be in Entebbe Town or Kampala city. Entebbe town is 5-10minutes drive to a hotel and Kampala is 45minutes to 1hour drive to a hotel of choice and all will be served on Bed and Breakfast basis only.

Day 2: Entebbe via Kampala - Murchison falls

After breakfast at 0715hrs, a pleasantly planned safari begins at 08:00am when your guide takes you for a drive on northward on a 303km; 7hrs drive with pleasant safari that will include you’re a lunch stop in Masindi before proceeding to the Murchison falls. Upon arrival at the park, you will begin to encounter with variety of birds, monkeys, and baboons in the cool Budongo forest as you are guided along. An opportunity to enjoy the mighty falls views at the top before crossing the river Nile to your hotel for overnight.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park activities (game drive and afternoon boat ride to the bottom of the falls)

Morning activity: An early morning game drive at 07:00am enables you to see some of the large mammals that include; lion, leopard, elephant, hippopotamus, Rothschild’s giraffe, Cape buffalo, hartebeest, oribi, warthog, and Uganda Kob. And if you are lucky this morning you will spot the famous shoe bill that always loiters around the Nile delta, return for lunch after 4hrs of the game drive.

In the afternoon at 13:45pm, you will enjoy the Boat/Launch at sun downer to the bottom of the falls, a three hours launch trip enable you to see some animals that come to the banks of the River Nile to drink water, some come to sun bathe as the Nile provides a corridor year-round water for these animals as well as a plethora of water birds (including the rare shoebill stork) and Uganda’s largest population of Nile crocodile. Animals like crocodiles, hippos and elephants will be seen here before you return to your Lodge/hotel for overnight.

Optional activities that can be done on this day in the morning at extra cost include: Balloon experience per person USD 420, Chimpanzee tracking in Budongo forest Murchison falls National park per person USD 90, A boat trip to the Albert Nile NOT the bottom of the falls USD 50.

Day 4: From Murchison Falls National Park – Kibale forest National park

After breakfast at 06:30am depart from Murchison Falls National park with your Driver Guide and drive Southwest via the Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley. driving through Hoima, the town of the Bunyoro Kitara kingdom, passing through verdant countryside traditional homesteads and tea plantations (we recommend that you book your packed lunch during your dinner before this day, which you will have enroute on this day). You will arrive in Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom late afternoon- proceeding to arrive at Park, dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest National Park & Bigodi

Early morning at 07:15am (if you are to stay in Fort portal town then breakfast is at 06:00am) you will have breakfast then leave to Kibale forest National Park headquarters for briefing before you enter in this beautiful forest for chimpanzee tracking including other primates like the L’hoestes, Colobus, Blues, Red-tailed monkey and grey cheeked Mangabey swinging through the dense forest and several bird species, butterflies and many small insects, can be seen before you return back for lunch.

An opportunity to reach Biggodi for a swamp walk the area is run by the community as away to preserve and save animals in the Kibale forest, You shall then return for dinner and overnight

Day 6: Kibale forest National Park - Queen Elizabeth National Park

Leave Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the morning via Kasese town to refuel your cars while enjoying the views of Mountain Rwenzori (Mountain Rwenzori is the highest mountain in Uganda with an altitude of 5109 m also known as Mountains of the Moon), proceed to check in to your lodge, lunch; afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park: Game Drive, Boat trip to Kazinga channel After an early morning warm up tea or coffee, transfer for a game drive in search of animals such as lions, Kobs, Topis and many others. Driving back to the lodge for a late breakfast, relax into the lunch hour, after lunch , enjoy a unique two hours boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water's edge. This launch cruise gives you a great opportunity for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Drive time 3hrs; 157km) After breakfast, transfer to Bwindi with your packed lunch, via Ishasha sector of the tree climbing lions, if you’re lucky may come across some of this great Cats resting on/under the trees. The landscape is open savannah with acacia trees, preceding later through the beautiful valleys of the Kigezi also known as ‘the Switzerland of Africa’ to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving for dinner and overnight

Day 9: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park After an early morning breakfast at 07:00am, you will be transferred to the gorilla trekking information office for a pre-briefing by the park rangers who will then lead you into the gorilla sanctuary at 08:00am. The rainforest is dense and is crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, the thrill of spending time and observing the gorillas is an exciting and memorable experience. Gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact with each other, this will see you return for a relaxed afternoon into the evening or if time allows take a guided nature/village walk/bicycle riding around the local communities, dinner and overnight

Day 10: Bwindi National park – Lake Bunyonyi Go for a guided nature walk in Bwindi on any trail of your interest- it could be a village trail or one of the other forest trails. You will have lunch and later proceed to L. Buyonyi; Dinner and overnight on full board basis.

Day 11: Activities in Lake Bunyonyi Breakfast will be served at your lodge and later a boat ride on the lake Bunyonyi to visit some of the 29 small islands in the lake, among this to be visited are Dr Sharps Island where he had his residence now turned a historical site (the Doctor used to treat people who suffered from Leprosy in 1900′s, Bwama Islands where the Hospital, school and a church was built, go past the small island Akampene the former island where girls who got pregnant were exiled to die (because of immoral behavior) before a man who did not have a woman could rescue her.

Other Islands to be visited are - Upside down Island, lastly Short hikes on the island Bushara, return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon enjoy swimming near your lodge or have a walk near by the lake, later dinner and overnight on full board basis

Day 12: Lake Bunyonyi via Kampala to Entebbe International Airport Early departure after your breakfast in the morning at 7:00am from Bwindi gorilla National park direct to the airport. Lunch shall be served en-route and just incase you need some souvenirs, then you will have opportunity to stop at the Equator to buy some before proceeding to Entebbe to catch your flight back home.
