This tour takes you through Pretoria which is situated within the municipality of Tshwane (formally the Pretoria metropolitan area) in the Gauteng province of South Africa north of Johannesburg. Visit the mining town of Kimberley where the train will stop briefly for the morning, giving you the time to visit the Big Hole and the Diamond Museum. Explore part of this quaint mining town which includes a trip on an old-fashioned tram. You will also visit the historic town of Matjiesfontein where you'll stop for a brief visit. Continue your journey through the picturesque Cape Winelands to South Africa's most beautiful city - Cape Town.

Day 1: Arrive Pretoria Upon arrival at Rovos Rail's private Capital Park Station, enjoy a refreshing pre-departure glass of champagne. Depart in the afternoon and spend the evening at leisure aboard the luxury South African steam train - the Pride of Africa. Enjoy the passing scenery as you relax in the lounge car or your private suite.

Day 2: Visit Kimberley

Shortly after breakfast you arrive in the mining town of Kimberley where the train will stop briefly for the morning, giving you the time to visit the Big Hole and the Diamond Museum. Explore part of this quaint mining town which includes a trip on an old-fashioned tram. Return to the train to enjoy a delicious lunch as the steam train commences the last part of your South African train journey.

Day 3: Explore Cape Town

You'll arrive in the historic town of Matjiesfontein where you'll stop for a brief visit. Continue your journey through the picturesque Cape Winelands as you enjoy a delectable lunch in the dining car. The Pride of Africa train will reach South Africa's most beautiful city - Cape Town - in the early evening.
