Day 1: Arrival

Pickup from Tari Airport, transfer 90 minutes up into the beautiful hills of the Tari Gap to your overlook hotel, Lakawanda Lodge. Afternoon lunch at the lodge, followed by (IF the time given your flights allows and IF available) a visit to Skull Cave, a catacomb of the dead warrior's bones resting in special arrangement underground, and onto nearby villages in the final frontier of the world, on the edge of civilization and on the last edge of history. These people were the last uncontacted peoples in this century, some in true sense only 40 years ago. Dinner and overnight at Lakunda Lodge.

Day 2: Huli Boys Initiation

We are off to Takali village and to see Huli boys initiation, where we will see how young Hulli boys growing hair for Wigs under their superiors' instructions. After this we will trek back to Koroba village and will go straight to local witch doctor for future telling and also will witness how he uses his black magic and communicates with his skulls lying on the beds. We will call off the day there and will trek back to the lodge for rest and dinner. If you still have energy, we can do some local village/town/or nature walks, before dark.

Day 3: Dama Spiritual Cave, Nature & Forest Hikes, and Huli Girls Ceremony Dance

After breakfast in the morning at 6am, we will trek out for rainforest trekking and cave hiking to Dama Spiritual cave – it a 3-4 hours Rainforest trekking and birds watching including the national birds of paradise, visit different kinds and species of colorful Orchids, Flowers, herbal & spices plants, and will either paddle over the big Takali river, or will trek back the same way over the metal bridg.

After lunch at your lodge, we will trek to the nearest field and will witness young Huli girls perform cultural dance after their first menstruation period which is special for young girls only and will walk back to your room and rest for dinner.

Day 4: Huli Wigmen Experience, Village Tours, Dance and Departure

After breakfast at 8am, you will walk to the nearby village and meet the famous Huli Wigmen, with their signature and renowned ancient dressing and face painting sand as they dance with their dwarf Kundu drum. You will after be driven by our driver to Tari airport for your flight back home.
